Manipulating a security's price is indeed illegal like it or not.

LMAO!

Yeah, it's "illegal" if one can prove the access of the definition regarding "Manipulating a security's price"! Maybe the "SEC" has such a thing!

Not once have I been charged with executing an illegal trade by buying or selling a stock by a price I entered in the order!

I can't recall any charges against anyone who lost or increased their account holdings by selling or buying a penny stock!

But why not get it directly from the source, the SEC. Manipulating a security's price is indeed illegal like it or not.
