MLB pitchers that tear their UCL are getting stem cell injections. I'm a baseball fan and noticed on ESPN today on their scrolling info banner on the bottom of the TV channel and came across a MLB pitcher had a stem cell injection. Once I looked into it I saw more of his teammates had it done last year.

The Angels pitcher JC Ramirez has a partial tear to his ulnar collateral ligament (UCL) and received an injection of his own stem cells to increase the healing process. His teammates Garret Richards and Adam Heaney had this procedure done last year so they could avoid Tommy John surgery. Heaney didn't see enough progress so he had surgery which puts them out for an entire year last year. Richards it worked with him and he was pitching again at the beginning of this season. This is great news for us investors showing that this method can work with athletes.
