Makes sense... This was a fad thing. Joel and his wife probably realized that the hype for something new would generate tourist, but let's be real, they are motels / houses aka B&B's that you can smoke pot in common areas only in. There was nothing spectacular about this when you really look at it. The camp sounded cool too until he blew that a couple years ago. He went public with his brand, took as much money as he could, and now is going to run and retire with his wife with millions in the bank.
Joel and his wife will be ok, anyone who had any faith in the company got screwed. He saw a fad, took advantage, milked as much money as he could and now he will most likely fold, and retire.
