It's for shock effect. They attack it the hardest at the opening bell and before closing bell to create panic and frustration. Plus a closing price of $4.86 vs $5.10 over thousands of shares could mean the difference between a margin call or not.

The hedge funds shorting ADXS are brutal and relentless. What we need is for ADXS or a fund like Adage that might be interested in being just as brutal to take them out. Unfortunately in today's Bio sector it seems all too often the only way for a small company like this to defeat the shorts is to sell themselves to the highest bidder.
