Found out something interesting today. I had a sell order in for 2000 shares and it did not show up, so I called TDAmeritrade and asked about it. Since it is an OTC stock, (or whatever), evidently they do not need to show any ask (not sure about bid) if it is less than 2500 shares. Even then there is no clear rule that they have to show it. So the MMs are free to play games here it seems.
