This is ignorant; the State is hurting because of policies, laws, and acts they have passed over the years. And now they are trying to make it someone else's fault. This will not fly, as is the case when families sue gun manufacturers for the injury or death of a loved one.

They need to learn to hold the people accountable, and not the mechanism.

These vehicles had to pass their emission laws, so the people and state knew what these vehicles would do when they were allowed to be sold in the state. I don't remember them complaining about any sales tax collection they were doing over the years.

If you are going to sue someone why not try the oil and gas industries for making us burn this noxious liquid called gas, instead of ethanol, had we been doing this over the years we might be seeing snow in Louisiana.
