The hunt wasnt a complete bust. Saw one young doe and two mom's with babies. Saved the arrows, but they were cool to watch. The wind kept the mosquitoes at bay, so that was a huge bonus for that spot in the swamp. I headed back home to tend to the place. It's sturdy, on a hill and has strong foliage for cover so it wasn't as risk as most. I got about 100 yards of privacy fence down and an absolute f*k ton of leaves and small branches to get up but all good. Had half the fridges and freezers packed with frozen bottles and jugs...

A few friends came over to stay for a couple days. Their roads are closed and neighborhoods flooded so we've been grillin, making margaritas, mules and tiki drinks like we're on a mission.

The pool has a bit of a chill to it but no one is complaining.
