But it's not like the legalization of alcohol- it's already legal in certain states- you can't bank the money, with no steady sign of being able to anytime soon, barring some penny stocks that say they have an active plan to solve that problem, lol.
Alcohol makes almost anyone some social goon- pretty much no matter what mood you're in- alcohol will make you think you have it all figured out and you're on top of the world- alcohol appeals to both the stupid and the intelligent- it's more fitting for the human race as a whole, while marijuana has been building a taboo stigma all these years- it's finally coming out of the dark, but still the countries divided on it.
I think that legalization in vegas is a good start because ppl come from all over to go to vegas and if weed is gaining acceptance there ppl are most likely going to accept it after time, 'hey I had some weed in Vegas, that stuff isn't too bad'
People are creatures of influence and habit.
There's much much more work to do to legalize this fully- I think that alcohol was more readily accepted- marijuana is a battle still.
Alcohol is legal practically all over the world- marijuana not even close. We can't just nationally legalize it without acceptance from other countries too as it would affect trade and shipping and travel just to name a few. We already have one party drug- that's alcohol- and unless marijuana is a part if your life and you use it enough to understand the difference between it and alcohol ppl will still just keep reaching for a drink.
It's going to take a few age brackets to die off before Mj is accepted on a national level- that's just my opinion but I am backing it up with facts- and these are just a few- there are many many more that support full legalization not happening anytime soon.
I also dont see medical progressing until a new delivery system besides smoking becomes viable and offers the variety smoking cannabis does.
How are we going to say, okay this plant is medically good for you- but you can only smoke it- and smoking anything is medically harmful for you----just doesn't make sense-
