The author fails to realize that Vuse was last to the market and is now the #1 ecig.

I'm not sure if Vuse has it, but apparently Reynolds has some IP where the device learns and adapts to how you draw as you use it.

In a couple previous articles BAT said that Reynolds had some strong IP in the vapor world. I think that was the IP they were referring to.
