On your thought, It would be fair to speculate they want to start a shell game. (phun intended from Wyoming) Putting joking aside, increasing to a global network will raise awareness of the company.
Top reasons to go global:
Financial gain. Some countries offer financial advantages over other. A lot of big companies for example have a so called 'mailbox company' in The Netherlands (or in VPOR's case it looks like S&F Holdings in Wyoming) This is purely because in The Netherlands, if you play it right, a big company hardly has to pay any taxes at all.
A more simplistic answer:
1: Investment benefits given by the countries government
2: Potential market share/market penetration
3: Different tax policies and rules suits the company
4: Cheap labor
