Deva, if the sine combo is plotted on the price chart, same time scale, then a line with slope equal to the tangent can be drawn against the price chart by drawing successive lines with identical slope until one touches an extreme. If prices are below the line the trend is down and future lines can only have increasingly negative UNTIL price breaks through the line. At that time the tangent line is set at slope of zero and anchored off of the low until the sine combo slope turns positive, or price sets new lows.

Using stockcharts.com one can draw the line and then "slide" it while automatically keeping the slope unchanged.

The goal is to mechanize an adaptive channel boundary. Presumably this would be something like channel for the 3.5yr cycle within a larger channel for the 7.3yr cycle.
