You mix in what you want to be true with what is ACTUALLY true. The Kate contempt order is null and void, not only because the case is closed but because Lattuca never ACTUALLY properly served Kate in the first place. Did he take a trip to Columbia to serve her? No....it was a misstep in the court system but things like that happen all the time. Lattuca kbows this because he wastes most of his life in court trying to usurp assets that don't belong to him. And doing that will eventually blow up in his face...but telling Lattuca that is like telling a big time drug dealer that his time on the streets is probably not going to end well....it usually goes in one ear and out the other. But at least he has his pyramid scheme to fall back on....well for a little while at most anyway.
