Momentum and catalysts on the horizon trump all bs discussions on gap analysis. Stocks normally don't come back to fill a breakaway gap as most literature would confirm this.

INVESTOPEDIA

While most gaps are said to have a tendency to fill, this is not necessarily the case for breakaway gaps.

A few posters like to bring up the concept into a frivolous discussion just as a distraction tactic and/or as a veiled attempt to scare the weak hands into selling. Either they sold and are trying get back in with the cheapies or they might be shorting the stocks. Momentum and forthcoming catalysts are too strong for their efforts to succeed!!!
