Disclaimer: I apologize in advance if anything below is repeat information in any way. The following is just my own truthful account of events and discoveries from Friday. I'm trying to get better at doing DD so I figured I'd sniff this out some more to satisfy my own curiosity.

Alright, stay with me here. I was burned by this play in 2015 so, naturally, I was skeptical to hop in when I could have back in the mid trips earlier this month. Once bitten, twice shy - you know?

Then I was skeptical of the pictures posted of the hemp field. Then I emailed the farm (info@303farms.com) and got this error message. WHOAH! Huge red flag, I thought. So I called the number right away (303-500-5056). Straight to voicemail. The voicemail greeting made no indication that I had called a business. It sounded like a regular cell phone voice message greeting menu. I left a message and got a call back within five minutes or so from a different number, same area code. The guy was a little uneasy when I told him I'm a shareholder inquiring about the company affiliated with license 67894 (as shown in recent pictures of the harvest). He couldn't tell me anything at all. Not where it's located, who's leasing the land, nothing. I then mentioned to him that I had a list of all industrial hemp farms registered in Colorado straight from the Colorado State website and that 303Farms was NOT listed. He said it's listed under an individual's name and not 303Farms. Hmm, that's sketchy. More DD needed. I thanked him for his time and got off the call. I had a feeling he was hesitant to divulge information that may get him in trouble. He did say that "whatever is in the press release is true" when I told him something didn't seem right.

I couldn't let it go. I felt uncomfortable with that whole conversation and the returned email was just an extra layer of doubt. So I dug around some more tonight and checked the Colorado Secretary of State website and found that 303 Farms is indeed a registered LLC that's registered to a Todd Ellison in Erie, CO. The list of approved farms in the state is broken down by county and Erie apparently falls under both Boulder County and Weld County. I went back to the list and didn't see anything in Boulder. Damn! It better be under Weld or I'm selling all my shares Monday. So I scrolled all the way down to W and found Weld. There it was, licensed to Todd Ellison with the same address and phone number but different email address: bouldercountyfarms@gmail.com

So it started to make sense. 303Farms was registered in December of last year and perhaps just underwent a recent name change, though this is just speculation. I'm not sure why the names are different, not sure why my email, which I sent from a Gmail account, was sent back to me. When I asked my IT buddy about it, he said "The email you sent an email to basically considered the Gmail domain as spam and so it never went through." Not sure what's up with that.

The bottom line is, there IS an active farm licensed and in good standing as an LLC with the State of Colorado. I can now sleep a little better tonight knowing at least that much.

I hope this was helpful to some of you.
