I prefer (and real investors tend to as well) to look at volumes of data vs one data point

'Age' of a CAFC ruling (recent or not) has nothing to do with it. But rather, volumes of rulings tend to = a trend and resultantly, a library of PRECEDENT. As we know, law runs on precedent.

One data point is not a trend no matter how 'new' it is

Then again, I guess when looking at data as an indicator for future rulings that may apply to WDDD, I use and analyze all information not just cherry pick the one data point that helps a position!

Cherry picking data is called selection bias in data analytics.
