j3pflynn, maybe the author is not immersed enough into technology. He talks about a 40000 feet production facility with an output of only 6000 modules a day. Simply can't be true.

Also the 940 pin Athlon 64 FX might need registered dimms, but the normal 754 pin Athlon 64 will use normal dimms.

The article also says we'll see 266MHz DDR before DDRII which seems to be the trend elsewhere too.
