Lawyers made payments progress already, previously posted. U. S. tax collectors are mainly interested in the money, so as to keep the system compliance basically voluntary. The Secret Service has no money to cover the Trumps, anymore, for example. The tax collectors have budget limitations, too. Anything they cannot collect they sell to a collections company. That was instituted again, only recently. So getting anything paid, was a positive. The Tax people themselves don't want to spend a lot of money. Anything paid in full bought time.
