My Sunday DD:

I started with the fact that Knightscope is not RAD's competition, as the CEO has stated, and that is probably good news. But we do have competition. I googled "Autonomous all-terrain security robots" and found:

http://www.nxtrobotics.com/outdoor-robots/

http://www.marketwired.com/AdvancedSearch/AdvancedSearchResults.aspx?sid=8f2e2440-d778-4079-95f6-57507fb08020

https://twitter.com/nxtrobotics?lang=en

I would call that competition, not really sure how serious. That same private company and a few others have also set themselves up to compete with Knightscope.

Then I googled "Unmanned ground vehicles". Here's the part you'll like:

http://www.unmannedsystemstechnology.com/category/news/ugv-news/

http://www.unmannedsystemstechnology.com/2017/06/smp-robotics-unveils-security-robots-enhanced-ai/

But the truth is that there are at least dozens of companies making robots with AI (search for yourself.) Most of these are used by the military or sectors that don't exactly compete with us.

I still consider SMP/RAD's partners in cutting edge technology and north american security distribution plus their apparent foothold in the market enough to become an investor and hope not to be restructured too badly. We don't really know what the share structure is going to look like, do we? That is my main remaining question that I'm putting forth here.
