In defense of Simpson this is a speculative biotech where it is high risk and high reward. She is paid too much, other than that not a lot of fact. Of course she should thus take a full 50 percent pay cut. As a general principle, you can't just cut off cold turkey every biotech like this and always expect it to work out favorably. A lot of cutting was done by people hoping for surges like to 24 cents or 36 cents, so the June vote and the threat on this vote have worked out extremely well.
