Legal "Discovery" has Many, Many Sides. One lawyer is making allegations which the other lawyer is not accepting, well in advance of any proceedings. Further, recording clerks merely do the recording. A lawyer likely set up any further records, in accord with SOP legal procedure. The various filings and procedures are even probably leading to a settlement, or basis of settlement. So the language may look usual, but has many, many sides.
