Just not getting it! The only reason they did not lease the 767 is because they changed the direction to aquire an existing airline to fast track the certification and start making revenue. There is NO "Kalitta" contract of 9/15 ( not sure where that info is coming from) and regardless I agree that will not happen even if there was one. They are going to lease a 737 first! What is going to happen though is the acquisition of Songbird Airways and possible lease of the existing Songbird 737-400 from Aersale... sister company of AerLine Holdings. These are intended to be done by 9/15/2017. Will it be 9/30/2017, 9/28, 10/5... maybe! But it will not be far from the 9/15 date. Just like the SHM was not far from the original intended date in April! Why still stuck on exact dates??
