Any significant current events should have been in the most recent filings, even though the filing is for last year. Just as 2017's toxic convertible debt was included in recent "old" filings.

"It is easier to fool someone, than to convince them they have been fooled."

For those that don't get it, it means that people need to be more careful, and do good due diligence.
