To me, an R & D company is one that is almost solely in the R&D stages of inventing, patenting, improving, developing, etc a product or products to get them ready to sell.
LLLI has products, has had them for years and while they are coming up with new products continuously, aren't most companies? Is Microsoft or Apple an R & D company because they keep coming up with updated and new products? In my opinion, they are most definitely not, the same way I feel Lamperd is not and does not deserve the latitude you would give an R&D company. LLLI is a company with products ready to sell, new ones coming, old ones (body cameras) failing due to lack of sales. All just my opinion.
