I think the markets will only crater if this escalates into an armed conflict (ie if one side fires on the other with a missile). Hopefully both sides are smart enough to avoid that, but I wouldn't bet on it. Because once it starts, it would be hard to end. I'm sure China would not like to see armed conflict on their border even though they are threatening India now. If there is just a lo0t of posturing, the markets will ignore it.
