RUSTY WALLACE JOINS REALITY RACING TV LEGENDS GROUP
BOCA RATON, FLORIDA - Rusty Wallace's retirement from NASCAR racing just got a
little bit busier as Reality Racing, lnc. has announced that the popular driver has joined
its group of racing legends who will be participating in the Reality Racing - The Rookie
Ctarrenge television series.
Wallace, the 1989 NASCAR Winston Cup Series champion, will serve as a consultant to
the Reality Racing project. Racing legends Bobby and Donnie Allison, Cale Yarborough,
Ned Jarrett, Buddy Baker, Junior Johnson and Geoff Bodine were recently announced
as judges for the Series that will give everyday people who love stock car racing the
opportunity to become a stock car driver.
"Rusty Wallace will provide direction and a more current theme to our Series", said Lee
F. Schaefer, President of Reality Racing, Inc. "We have assembled a star-studded group
of former NASCAR racing greats who will work directly with our contestants as both
mentors and judges. Rusty's contribution will focus more on our programming and the
establishment of a more realistic version of what professional stock car racers face
today. We're excited to include such a formidable racing celebrity to our reality TV team",
Schaefer added.
Reality Racing - fhe Rookie Cha enge will consist of a series of reality racing
shows that will combine two of the most prevalent, on-air entertainment concepts - stock
car racing and reality television. Scheduled for filming later this summer, this actionpacked,
13-week Series will provide the opportunity for people with no racing
backgrounds, but who believe that they have what it takes to become a stock car driver,
to compete against each other in weekly competition.
The ultimate winner of this competition will win a cash prize, a gold ring, national
exposufe and the chance to race in an actual NASCAR-sanctioned stock car race. The
Series is scheduled to air in the fall on a maior television network with final details to be
announced at a later date.
