News for $JCP - (DJ US Stock Futures Higher Ahead Of More Earnings -- Market Talk)
07:32 ET - S&P futures are up 2 points and Dow futures are also higher following the DJIA's eighth straight closing record on Friday. The Dow gained 66.71 points, or 0.3%, to 22092.81 and added 1.2% for the week. Stocks were buoyed by a July jobs report showing employers continued hiring at a healthy rate. Corporate earnings have also shown broad strength across industries and more positive earnings reports will be key to stocks continuing their run. Earnings expected after today's close are CBS, Avis Budget (CAR) and Marriott (MAR). Disney (DIS) is expected tomorrow. Retailers Macy's (M), Kohl's (KSS) and JCPenney (JCP) come later in the week.
