One good worm deserves another

Hey, here's one way to pick up after the MSBlaster worm ... write another worm that exploits the same Microsoft security hole to (among other things) download and install the patch without you even knowing it!:

Security consulting firm TruSecure Corp. estimates the Blaster worm infected computers in 21% of corporations world-wide, based on a study of 1103 organizations. The 10% who reported "moderate" impact, the worm cost them an average of $101,900, while the 4.6% who reported "major" impact lost $94,400 on average.
