Has anyone actually drank "Hemp Beer" yet?

Dunno if this is how "our" beer will be made but thought I'd post this:

Beer brewed from whole hemp seeds typically features a nutty flavor and it the seeds have been roasted, even a coffee flavor. When hulled hemp seeds, or hemp hearts, are used, the nutty flavor is much softer.

Well, of course I'll have to try it but the cost will be my main concern. Indeed, as much as I now spend on beer I'd hate to have my cost double or so. frown Also, from what I gathered from the article, the hemp seed does nothing except to alter the beer taste adding a "nutty flavor" (or "coffee flavor" if the hemp seeds have been roasted.) Interesting.

P.S. On second thought, why not simply put some hemp seed oil into your regular beer?

It does, however, offer some powerful health benefits when used both internally and externally.

Research has found that hemp contains all of the essential amino acids and essential fatty acids that are necessary for human life. It also contains a unique protein called globule edestin which is similar to globulin in human blood plasma. Hemp seed oil possesses powerful anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. Hemp is also considered to be the most balanced oil for nutrition found in nature and it is easily digestible, too. All of this combined together, provides many wonderful benefits for health as well as beauty, inside and out.

I'm gonna have to try that. smile
