"There are no scientists or business professionals left on the BOD..."

I would have to disagree with that comment. There are three people on the BOD that have engineering or technical background... namely Steven Van Fleet, Dr. Brian Von Herzen, and Larry Blue. Others have a business background.

Included below are all seven of Micromem's BOD:

Steven Van Fleet has been the key Micromem-MAST person that clients, joint development partners, and subcontractors have been in contact with for at least the last dozen years. He has solid depth in sensor technology, applications, and trends, and is the person who has developed the contracts with those entities. In my opinion, he is the critical resource at Micromem-MAST.

"Mr. Steven R. Van Fleet has been the President of MAST, Inc. a subsidiary of Micromem Technologies Inc. since 2008. Mr. Van Fleet served as a Director of Business Development at Micromem Technologies Inc. He served as a Vice President of Sales and Business Development at Kollakorn Corporation Limited (Alternate Name: MIKOH Corp. Ltd.) since May 28, 2007. He joined MIKOH in May 2007 and had been responsible for establishing critical business relationships on a global basis and directing sales in the Americas. He serves as President and Director of Business Development at Micromem Applied Sensor Technologies Inc., a subsidiary of Micromem Technologies Inc. He also serves as Consultant of Micromem Technologies Inc. Mr. Van Fleet served as Business development Manager at Micromem Technologies Inc. He has more than 20 years of experience in RFID product development and sales. He is the Principal of the R&V Group LLC, an RFID business consulting and technology development company. Mr. Van Fleet has been Program Director for the Silent Commerce and Smart Packaging Initiative at International Paper Company since November 1999. He served as Head of Business Development at Micromem Technologies Inc., since November 2007. At International Paper, Mr. Van Fleet managed development and deployment of the first smart shelf system within a major retail superstore chain. From January 1999 to November 1999, Mr. Van Fleet was Program Director for Process and Product Uniformity and from March 1996 to December 1998, he served as the Director for Control Systems Development at International Paper in Cincinnati, Ohio. Mr. Van Fleet has been a Director at Micromem Technologies Inc. since March 6, 2002. He has been presently on the Board of Overseers for the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Auto ID Center. He holds multiple RFID technology patents and a Bachelor's of Science from Miami University."

Dr. Brian Von Herzen is both a scientist and a CEO:
"Dr. Brian Von Herzen, Ph.D is a Co-founder of Bright Energy Storage Technologies, LLP and serves as its Chief Technology Officer. Dr. Von Herzen has served as the Chief Executive Officer of Rapid Prototypes, Inc. since 1993. He has designed and implemented the Sparse-Chevron(TM) tiling array for BGA pinouts and architected, designed, developed, tested and demonstrated a 2K x 2K, 144 Hz real-time compositing graphics engine. He also created a 1-GHz analog video output daughter card. Prior to joining Rapid Prototypes. Mr. Von Herzen was an Applications Research Manager at Synaptics, Inc. From 1988 to 1992, he was a Design Project Manager at Caltech Submillimeter Observatory. He served as a Systems Analyst at Pixar, Inc. and Research and Development Engineer at Dolby Laboratories. He is an established expert in innovative marine engineering related to energy systems. While at Princeton, he spent four years working closely with Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute on experimental oceanographic projects. He has been a Director of Micromem Technologies Inc. since February 19, 2014. Dr. Von Herzen led a Discovery Channel documentary in 2008 called Project Earth: Hungry Oceans, detailing approaches to fixing carbon in the oceans by restoring phytoplankton production. Through the non-profit Climate Foundation, he designed, built and demonstrated the world's first coral reef cooling system in 2009. He completed his A.B. in Physics, Magna Cum Laude at Princeton University and Masters and Doctorate degrees in Computer Engineering and Planetary Science from Caltech where he was the recipient of the prestigious Hertz Foundation Fellowship."

Larry Blue:
"Mr. Blue is currently Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Bell and Howell. He served as a Director of Micromem Technologies Inc. since November, 2005. He was previously Chief Executive Officer for Hi-G-Tek, an active RFID company specializing in sensors and seals for the transportation market. Prior to that, Mr. Blue was at Symbol Technologies as the Vice President and General Manager of the RFID Tag business unit. Under his leadership, RFID tag revenues more than doubled and Symbol was second in market share in the industry. Prior to the acquisition by Symbol, Mr. Blue was Vice President, Engineering for Matrics, Inc., a recognized leader in innovation in passive RFID systems. During this time, Larry was heavily involved in defining the EPC Gen 2 Passive UHF RFID standard and led the effort to define the solution for the Hong Kong International Airport – an early key customer win for Matrics. Prior to this position, Mr. Blue held a similar title at Zagros Networks, an early stage venture backed fab-less semiconductor company that developed a novel switch fabric chipset targeted for the telecommunications industry. Mr. Blue has over 25 years of industry experience in large and small companies, including IBM and Hughes, and his 20 years of technical management experience spans communications, semiconductors, networking and multimedia technologies. Larry holds an MSEE from Duke University, and lives in Maryland."
