I agree. If those conversations were really happening and the white house was intentionally leaking these stories to "reporters that will listen", then why aren't more funds buying FNMA and FMCC and driving the price up? Is everyone missing the boat here? I'm long 20,000 common and a handful of preferred shares, so I hope I am wrong, but I think it is very odd that the share prices aren't moving up significantly in advance of the news.
