Land and/or real estate purchases are usually if not always public information which should easily be obtained via either website or phone call.
I've e-mailed 3 different departments at Pecos County trying to confirm there was a CLOSING of this land of 126 acres. Now clearly I did NOT have an address, but I gave them MMEX as company and gave them the vicinity of the land which is 20 miles NE of Fort Stockton.
Should NOT be that hard to figure out if a transaction of that size closed or not. As of now, I haven't heard back a thing.
This would truly be PROOF that the transaction closed. I checked on the county website and I have not been able to see anything. It of course could take a few days to even a few weeks to actually be recorded as we all know how fast government entities work.
I for one would like total confirmation that this land deal did in fact happen and it's going to be in MMEX or Hanks name. Until then, IMO, it's speculation PR or not!
Others must clearly feel the same way or this thing would be way past a penny right now. Only up 11% on Land purchase news? That does not excite me at all.
Can't keep hoping for the "next" big thing here, which now apparently are the permits. The closing of the land should definitely given this thing a bigger jolt than it did today. That's why I'm a bit skeptical here.
IF land is confirmed under MMEX/Hanks AND permits are granted, BAM!!! To DA MOON!
Until then, flipping, guesses and manipulation will continue.

As far as "only" 10,000 barrels a day to start after initially stating 50,000 - WAY Smart IMO. Why undercut yourself starting out 5X higher when you can establish cash, jobs and notoriety in the industry with 10,000 which will clearly be able to pay off any toxic debt and secure way better financing for the growth and more land to expand. Very smart.
