Sadly, traders buy the stock in this crap on the hopes for exactly what you describe. Unfortunately, that trader action is precisely what the stock fraudsters need to perpetrate their scams. Compound THAT with an over exuberant willingness from participants to say essentially ANYTHING that will increase the odds of moving the stock higher for financial gain, and there ya go.

A FULL FLEDGED STOCK FRAUD.
