First, my internet speed is good. I updated it to 100 Mbps. Plenty fast.
With that said, the Viva app is not good on Chromecast. Some channels won't cast at all. Some cast and just stop after 10 seconds or a minute. Hoping it works better on the Viva box. I'll get that chance this week when it arrives.
I'm not concerned yet. Other apps work fine on Chromecast, only minor issues. Sling was awful though. Every channel froze. And they've been around awhile. So no service is perfect.
Viva is still young and has a unique product and plan. I like the CEO's hands on approach and desire to have everything ready before the market blitz in a few weeeks or less.
I'm anxious to see how Viva looks and works on the box and on the Roku. Aug 3rd can't come fast enough.
Despite the poor performance on the Chromecast, I'm excited. This company has real potential to disrupt the market or at least be a major player.
As for Roku, I like it. Simple setup and clean interface. Very user friendly. Again, can't wait for Aug 3rd.
