Today's announcement on 'changes' to the new TSCA regulations now has the American Chemistry Council commenting more positively after their 'pushback' letter against the OBAMA EPA position on isocyanates and other chemicals published in June:

'ACC says framework rules give ‘every reason to be optimistic’ about new TSCA

The American Chemistry Council says that the three TSCA ‘framework’ rules issued last month have given it "every reason to be optimistic about the implementation" of the new law.

Speaking to reporters last week, Mike Walls, vice president of regulatory and technical affairs at the ACC, said that while there are still decisions to come in terms of processes outlined in each, they are "certainly consistent with the law and I think are indicative of EPA’s interest in implementing it to its fullest extent".

I don't know the details of what this means regarding the EPA's latest position on 'isocyanates'. It doesn't sound all that positive for those of us with an interest in banning isocyanates. And the Scott Pruitt EPA has been amenable to DOW Chemical's 'monetary donations' in the very recent past.
