Any idea what's going on with MMC's stock price in HK? If I'm not mistaken, it's now roughly around the level where it was right before Battulga was elected.

This can't be a delayed reaction to last week's production report, can it? That report was mildly disappointing, certainly relative to the company's full-year production guidance.

I hope this recent move is predicated on firm footing as opposed to unwarranted speculation. Because, as we know, this stock takes the stairs up one by one on good news and the express elevator down on even the slightest hint of bad news.

Maybe it's short covering?
