It depends. Which isn't, I know, a very helpful answer. But reverse mergers are always problematic, because there may be all kinds of skeletons in the shell's closet. Unless the acquiring private company does very thorough due diligence before buying, those skeletons can make trouble down the road.

The episode involving Ford was strange. He controlled THCB back in 2010-2011. TRKG was controlled by Jerry Grisaffi, now CEO of RMHB. OPSY, another of the companies mentioned by Ford, had been purchased by BJ Grisaffi--who is perhaps Jerry's brother--from Claude Eldridge, a notorious Texas shell peddler.

Judging from the OTCMarkets profile, Jerry Grisaffi owned the shell until very recently. It was probably he who sold it to the new owners. You might want to check to see whether Roy Meadows is holding any notes.

As for Ford, some said he was actually to blame. In the end, two shareholders sued Ford and some of the people he'd accused. It ended with all of them being relieved of their offices, as far as THCB was concerned.
