$ECOB Eco Red Shield™ Protected Lumber Now Being Sold In New York And New Jersey For The Rebuild From Super Storm Sandy

"Our partnership with The Home Depot, America's largest retail lumber store, is leading to the mass commercialization of our lumber products. Working with The Home Depot is just the beginning of our near-term expansion plans and just the beginning of our potential revenue generation"

ECOB Eco Red Shield Lumber is Now Being Sold in Eleven Stores for the Sandy Rebuild

VISTA, Calif., Oct. 16, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Eco Building Products, Inc., (OTCQB: ECOB), a manufacturer of treated wood products, today announced that the Company's New Jersey facility is now in full production coating lumber currently running shifts twenty-four hours a day to meet demand. The Home Depot locations throughout the New York tri-state area are showcasing Eco Red Shield lumber products stocking units (SKUs) on their shelves and working closely with contractors and homeowners looking for a better alternative than raw lumber to rebuild homes and buildings affected by Hurricane Sandy.

"Our partnership with The Home Depot, America's largest retail lumber store, is leading to the mass commercialization of our lumber products. Working with The Home Depot is just the beginning of our near-term expansion plans and just the beginning of our potential revenue generation," stated President and CEO Steve Conboy. "In Home Depot's West Long Branch, Neptune and Manahawkin locations, sales are thriving in support of modular residential home sales activity in the Jersey Shore town of Bayville, as well as nearby towns. We were here from the very beginning helping families dig out and we'll be here for the long haul helping them move back in. Additionally, we are supplying three other lumber suppliers in the rebuilds immediate area who are now selling Eco Red Shield," added Conboy.

New Jersey based building firm John Paul Builders, has been tasked with providing construction services for one of the modular homes being built in New Jersey. John Paul Builders specializes in modular and frame construction. The firm recognizes the value provided by building with Eco Red Shield protected lumber.

John Bishop of John Paul Builders commented, "By using Eco Red Shield protected lumber, we now have a cost-effective way to build more structural sound homes allowing for better protection for homeowners and first responders during emergency situations. We have a chance to build these new homes with more protection than existed prior to the introduction of Eco Red Shied. We will be using this product in our future projects based on the strong feedback from our clients. Eco Red Shield's technology has presented us with a leading role in promoting safer homes. When I tell prospective clients about fire and mold resistant lumber, they're shocked. When I tell them the price point, they can't live without it."

"We need to raise the bar for building materials in the northeast just like we did in California following the Northridge earthquake. Hurricanes and earthquakes remind us of two things. First, the importance of designing buildings with good lateral strength engineering; secondly, the desire and anticipation in building better and stronger – defensively," remarked Mr. Conboy. "Future rebuilds will face similar circumstances to last year's storm if proper planning and construction is not implemented. Protecting the main structure of the home is imperative and the lumber choice is a vital part in the defense against damage from future super storms. Flooding causing mold, massive fires and even termites, silently eating the strength of your lumber are now avoidable. Our 2013 Gold Edison Award earned by Eco Red Shield coatings has been recognized as the only eco-friendly protective measure that combat's the threats of mold, fire, termites and wood-rot. Our vision to help families in the rebuild process is now a reality and we are here, pleased, to be selling our products throughout the northeast."
