The company you mentioned at the bottom of your message, Zabaykalzoloto OOO, which was purchased by Highland Gold in - if I remember the Highland Annual Reports correctly - 2002 is a construction company that builds mining structures.
The Aurus website says: The Mining Corporation Zabaikalgeoprom was transformed from the state owned enterprise “Zabaikalgold“
I know that "gold" in Russian is "zoto". Does this mean, in your opinion, that Zabaikalgeoprom is the SAME company as Zabaykalozoto, minus a few subsidiaries such as the construction company purchased by Highland? I'm kind of assuming the sale of non-mining assets was done prior to, and in preparation of, the new business plan developed with RSM Top Audit to create Zabaikalgeoprom.
When I do research, I'm never quite sure if Zabaykalozoto is just the earlier state-run incarnation of what is now within Aurus.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this.
