Kautzmann sold $30,000 in investments related to a merger and formation of a new company, ANTS Software, Texas. Kautzmann misrepresented the investment and spent investor funds on himself.

In addition to paying restitution, Kautzmann, now of Portage County in Ohio, was sentenced to 11 months in prison, all suspended, and three years of probation, the division announced.

figured he was a crook --- cloning ANTS as his company
