Give yourself time on them, buy maybe January 2018 puts so you can watch and learn about theta decay plus if the stock goes up you still have lots of time on them. Don't do weeklies too soon.

Start small, maybe around $250 position and then work your way up once you understand how they work.

Make sure to buy any of your options so they expire after the earnings report, not before. Take off your initial capital once you're up 100%-150%. Don't get greedy.
