Fascinating story! Kinda reminds me of the movie (can't think of the name) starring Burt Reynolds and Jackie Gleason a few years ago.
Actually, at first I thought you were going to tell me moonshine was used as fuel!
Interestingly...the stuff I have was bottled by The Johnson Distilling Company. I'll take your word for it that it's not real moonshine...am not about to taste it.
