Does he intentionally screw them? probably not. But at the same time there are many times he isn't being honest with them either. Like hiding the fact that he lost the partnership with BlauAire. Or putting out blogs that we will see current financials within days and we haven't seen them 22 months later. They buy shares based on what they hear from the company and if the CEO is being dishonest with them and the share price suffers because of it they got screwed.
Remember that when someone tries to convince you to sell there is something in it for them. It's not because they are concerned about your investment.
