For example, 10 minutes ago there was maybe a couple hundred thousand shares on the ask in the 0.005s, then all at once it turned into a million plus below 0.0053.

Don't get me wrong, the pps is going to go up! I just think there is still a (losing) effort to bring the pps down. I have been here for a long time, and this has been the case over the last 6 months. Being here for a while also means that I know what I hold :)
