Another interesting bit from the Wfcctech Intel slides...

AMD does have a pretty good advantage in 1 socket PCIE lanes. But in 2 socket Intel systems you get 96+20 lanes while AMD stil has 128. And it seems that implementing SATA and Ethernet reduce the number of Epyc lanes. So it seems the 128 PCIE thing is a bit more nuanced than just the bullet point AMD fans keep pointing to.

It also turns out that AMD has 8 different NUMA domains in a 2 socket server whereas Intel only has 2. I think its clear that AMD will not be as competitive on 2 socket stuff and thats why they keep focusing on one socket.
