The n is too small. 7 out of 20 is a start but it doesn't come close to telling what a larger patient population trial result will be. Excuse the analogy but if a baseball player who has a career average of .250 has 7 hits in 20 at bats he isn't shouting from the rooftop that he deserves a raise. The club waits until the end of the season before negotiating a new contract. Otezla had over 1200 patients go through their trials, Prurisol will have around 200, big difference. So in spite of the 505(b)(2) designation I believe it's still a small sample size for a major pharmaceutical company to commit big money to IPIX' dermatology candidate. But time will tell.
