Geographically it also stretches into South Eastern Montana ... All the way North to the Powder River... I hunt Antelope on BLM land near a little town called Colstrip (you can guess what they do there) ... PRB isn't just for coal anymore though as tens of thousands of natural gas and oil wells are producing there as well now... They have thousands of miles of piping to extract coalbed methane and the Salt Creek Oil Field is located there as well... PRB region as a whole is the 3rd largest source of natural gas in the United States...Antelope out number people in this area just as a fun fact there the population density is insanely low
