There's confusion in the other's statement on Battelle.
While non-profit and philanthropic in their stated mission, Battelle is basically a contractor. The government pays them to work on government projects, not to work with "EVERYONE". That is a very inaccurate statement. According to Battelle, they've contracted with roughly 900 federal, state, and local government entities in addition to many public and private companies. They are selective in the projects they undertake.

This constant flow of contradictory information is interesting, especially the claims that patents are valueless without major sales of the patented technologies. That claim would be very amusing to those who bought patents for great technologies that the originators chose to sell for large sums.

Bob, Medtronic and others are in Galway. Boston Scientific is not one of the top two or three in the world.
