You know, that has always been my gut belief and wish. But upon thinking further about it mechanically forum structure wise and morally, historically data wise, it could be much more complex than just removing stuff. As a forum continuity problem, I believe it could fall under the same reasons none of your picture gallery library can not be deleted off the server. Placeholders may not be the best solution to removed pics, let alone the system searching for non existent jpg's and the like. The other thought is from a morally, historic viewpoint. Any data removed be it negative or positive is like censorship to me. I hate to see all the 27 page promotion crap in a info screens, but there's something about having a record, good, bad or extremely annoying. I used to think the pic's of a stocks price from 2 years ago was incredibly stupid, but with Ihub's/advfn penchant for totally disregarding stocks that are delisted, revoked or suspended from showing any history at all, some of those stupid old pic's came in handy. I just had a conversation about editing out words and phrases in a piece of video that 'offended' people. This is very wrong to me. We're talking about censoring what someone said 50 years ago during some riots. It should be up to the reader - observer to decide whether they want to experience something uncomfortable to them. It shouldn't be up to another 'editor' what I should read or decide for me that I can't read it. Ihub has tried to keep that concept of allowing us, the members to decide what we want to read when we want to read it. This concept has worked fairly well for quite some time now. Admin are human beings. They make mistakes.
