If I was a billionaire and had a friend with a company who was landing huge contracts and wanted to reduce his OS without reverse splitting on his shareholders...why not help him with a buyback? I would have no problem buying up 5 billion shares at current PPS for $10mil, pocket change for me. After news drops and PPS hits .10 (probably mich higher with the reduced float), I could give 4.5 billion shares back to the company for free for them to retire, and still make $40mil+ profit on my remaining 500mil shares.
Why does this seem so far fetched to so many people? If I had $10mil lying around that's exactly what I'd be doing.
