There is a huge difference between meeting a vendor criterion
for capacity of X and actually selling products in quantity of X.
For all we know Dell dangled the figure X in front of AMD's eyes
for maximum pressure in price negotiations. Dell will carefully
ramp *actual* purchases from AMD in 100% proportion to actual
demand. If you haven't figured it out yet Dell's business model
does not involve speculatively buying components to sit on a
warehouse shelf.
